While it may sound far-fetched, I believe we are witnessing the beginning of the end of Obama's Presidential Term in office. Perhaps you thought it was going to be his birth certificate (I didn't), maybe you suspected unemployment, and probably you guessed that his spending was going to do him in.
It's none of those; well, it's all of those. But mainly, it's going to be Libya and Health Care.
Libya, is going to cause the Democrat party to become divided within. Even now, they can't actually agree among themselves whether the country is at war (we are). And remember, this is the party that has supporters against Afghanistan, and clearly Iraq.
So what are they going to do about Obama's War in Libya? I'll tell you: they're going to hope it ends quickly. But it won't. On Wednesday, we're "handing off" the responsibility to NATO. What's not being said is that the U.S. is the primary functionary of NATO!
Oh yes, my friends; we'll still be there. But don't take my word for it, just wait another 90 days and see what's going on. In the meantime, watch as Democrats argue among themselves, dividing their party before the 2012 election, and probably having candidates (Kucinich) run against their own leader.
Health Care is the other tine of the politic fork, spearing Obama's chances for reelection. While there's many similarities to Clinton's Health Care plan, the differences are more apparent.
1. Obama's Health Care is now law. Clinton was able to run without having to prove his Health Care would work. Obama has to make his HCRA put up or shut up.
2. Obama's Health Care has a mandate and a penalty. Democrats are trying to reclassify this, but make no mistake, you are required to follow these rules or you will be penalized.
3. Obama's Health Care is already falling short of projections. A study released by the Lewin Group estimated a 578% cost increase (to taxpayers) in subsidies forecasted by the Congressional Budget Office. (Click here for the information.)
It's not what Obama's done; that's not really what's going to rip his administration apart. It's what he can't do. He won't be able to resolve the differences between Iraq and Libya; his own quotes from the past will haunt him. And in Health Care Reform, the policies enacted won't cost less, they'll cost more.
